Silvester Hijkoop (19) stabbed to death in a money dispute in a car park on Meerkoet, Diemen

On Friday evening 10 December 2004, at around eight o'clock, the 19-year-old trainee mechanic Silvester Hijkoop from Weesp was stabbed in the neck in a car park on Meerkoet in Diemen. The knife hit his carotid artery and he died at the scene. According to reports the cause was a dispute over money. The attacker, also 19, later turned himself in to the police; a second suspect was arrested later. What role that second suspect played and how the court ruled cannot be found in public sources; no judgment has been published.
