Thai transgender sex worker Withoon Richtert murdered in a window room on Barndesteeg

On Saturday 18 September 2004 the Thai sex worker Withoon Richtert, known as Nuang Lung, was found dead in a window room on Barndesteeg in Amsterdam's red-light district. She was a kathoey, a Thai transgender woman, and was 33 or 34 years old; sources differ. She had been killed with a knife; according to moordzaken.com her throat had been cut. Police appealed for witnesses who had seen or heard anything, but the killer was never found.
