Vojislav Makic (34) shot in the street, dies a week later

On 11 January 2004 the 34-year-old Vojislav Makic was shot in a street in Amsterdam. Police officers saw the gunman running away, but he was not caught. Makic was taken to hospital seriously injured and died there of his wounds on 18 January. Public sources say nothing about where exactly the shooting took place, what lay behind it or whether anyone was suspected; no judgment in the case has been published. As far as is known, no one was ever convicted of Vojislav Makic's death.
