Man dies after assault in hvo-Querido shelter

On that Saturday evening, a violent incident took place in a shelter run by HVO-Querido on Akerwateringstraat in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The 55-year-old Ricardas S. got into an argument with his 60-year-old roommate, Bassam Fehmy. According to S., the victim threatened him with a knife, after which S. severely assaulted the man using the metal footrest of a wheelchair. The victim sustained very serious injuries, including a broken arm, wrist, and leg, as well as other injuries.
