Woman (66) killed by her husband at their home on Muntendamstraat

On Monday 18 March 2013 a 66-year-old woman was found seriously injured at her home on Muntendamstraat in the Oosterparkbuurt. Attempts to resuscitate her failed. She had been killed by her 59-year-old husband, who according to reporting had abused her for years. Neighbours said afterwards that they had seen it coming - a sentence that recurs again and again in files on fatal domestic violence.
