Frans Brons (72) beaten to death in mobility scooter on bridge on Nobelweg near Frankendael park

The 72-year-old Frans Brons was brutally killed at the end of March in the Amsterdam neighborhood of Amsteldorp after he was attacked while on his mobility scooter near Park Frankendael by his neighbor, whom he had known for some time; the perpetrator, Freddie M., beat the disabled man so severely that he died from his injuries, and it later emerged that the violence stemmed from a conflict between the two, after which the court sentenced the attacker to ten years in prison for the fatal assault on his vulnerable neighbor.
