Teenage girl stabbed to death during attack on way home

On 20 August 2025 seventeen-year-old Lisa from Abcoude was cycling home when she was attacked and stabbed to death on the Holterbergweg in Duivendrecht by 21-year-old asylum seeker Chris Jude. According to prosecutors he attacked her twice that evening. Jude was initially arrested over a separate sexual offence, after which it quickly became clear that he was also responsible for Lisa's death. He denied it at first, but at a hearing in February 2026 he confessed to everything he is accused of: the murder of Lisa, a rape on 15 August and an attempted rape with grievous assault on 10 August. By his own account he lied at first because he was not ready to admit it. He said he had acted on voices in his head, which he claims have told him since childhood to rape someone and later to kill a girl. Prosecutors doubt his credibility: his statements about his childhood and background turned out to be untrue, and his identity was long unclear — the name Chris Jude is the one he gave himself and which the authorities have accepted. Because there is still no complete picture of his mental state, he was kept under observation at the Pieter Baan Centrum for longer. As a result the full trial has been postponed to 18, 20 and 22 January 2027, almost eighteen months after Lisa's death.
